UPCOMING CLOSURES

As of September 7th, 2010, there will be a sigle lane closure for Eastbound Hillsboro Blvd. approaching Dixie Highway for roadway widening work. The lane closure will be from the hours of 9am to 4pm. Please use caution when driving through this area.

As of September 7th, 2010, there will be a sigle lane traffic on North River Ave. for new drainage installation work. The lane closure will be from the hours of 9am to 4pm and Please use caution when driving through this area.

TRAFFIC UPDATE

Currently, there are no traffic issues to report on the project.

Currently, the project is in both the Design and Construction Phase. Some current activities include:

Finalizing details for the bridges
Reviews of design plans by multiple agencies to insure all requirements are met
Coordination with existing utilities to relocate any necessary conflicts with the new proposal
Test piles are being driven to obtain data
Production piles are being driven at some locations
Earthwork north of the Hillsboro Canal.

Anticipated Construction Activities for the month of September 2010:

Production Piles to be driven during daytime hours
Earthwork operations to grade soil to the proper density and elevation North of the Hillsboro Canal.
Drainage pipe and structure installation on Dixie Hwy North and South of the Hillsboro Canal.
Roadway widening on Eastbound Hillsboro Blvd.

Anticipated work for the month of September 2010:

Continuation of Pile Driving for the Mainline Dixie and 2nd Ave. Ramp Bridges.
Continuation of Drainage pipe and Drainage structures.
Continuation of Earthwork north of the Hillsboro Canal.
Start of roadway widening on Hillsboro Blvd.
Continual maintenance of Storm Water Pollution Prevention Devices.
Continual maintenance of Traffic Control Devices.
